A tragic plane crash claimed seven members of the Nelons, a beloved gospel family, including Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, son-in-law Nathan Kistler, family friend Melanie Hodges, and pilot Larry Haynie and his wife, Melissa. The only survivor, Autumn Nelon Streetman, was not on the flight and expressed her grief and gratitude for the support.
The Nelons were traveling to Alaska for the Gaither Homecoming Cruise when the plane went down in Wyoming. Known for songs like “I Shall Not Be Moved” and “Come Morning,” the family was inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2016. The crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board
